At 12, Dr. Osterhout was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, and at 20 he underwent open heart surgery. Facing two profound health challenges so early in life created an overwhelming need to find out why we become, and remain, sick.
That question became his life's work. A Portage native, he has helped thousands of patients since founding Vitality Healthcare in 2004.

Your $47 Functional Medicine Nutrition Special (normally $300) includes a consultation, a neurological scan, a computerized nutrition analysis and a body fat analysis.

Dr. Osterhout has found that successful treatment is the result of finding the source of the problem, and not covering the symptoms with medications. We offer treatments that are proven to work, and our approach is always patient-centered.
Is it safe?
Functional medicine is a conservative, drug-free approach to healthcare. When you choose our clinic, you can feel confident that your care will be gentle and safe.
How long before I get relief?
Most patients start feeling better from our care within the first few visits. Every patient is different, so you will have to come in for an appointment so we can find your individual root cause. That way, we can make a personal plan of care that works for you.
Is there any obligation?
No. We offer this assessment so you can see for yourself if functional medicine is right for you. We will offer you an individualized plan, and you decide if you would like to start treatment with us.
